Latin American music and Spanish folklore are closely linked to the guitar. The six strings play a central role in both bossa nova and flamenco, and many of the pieces by genre heroes such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Francisco Tarrega or Paco de Lucia can be transferred to the duo context without further processing.
At the same time, this rhythmic music with its diverse tones offers a welcome platform to rediscover the most diverse pop and jazz classics and to arrange them for our guitar duo.
“You are the sunshine of my life” was a mega hit for Stevie Wonder in 1973. The song, which is stylistically classified as R&B / Easy Listening, has bossa nova influences and it is a SoB favourite.
