Joachim Ribbentrop completed his music studies at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart in the subject “Jazz & Pop-Guitar” and studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with a focus on “Improvisation through non-Western techniques”.
Extensive concert activities followed, including concert tours to Abu Dhabi (Landesjugendorchester) and Casablanca (Maxwell Street Orchestra) as well as engagements at the Staatstheater Stuttgart or in the band of the entertainer Kay Scheffel.
The main focus of the artistic work lies in jazz music; Various CD recordings, currently with the Berlin club jazz collective Miramode, and numerous concerts with various formations document the process.
